Dave:
One of the nights towards the end of the prayer line was a young man whose name was Claudio. He had waited in line to receive prayer for his lower back. We prayed and God immediately healed him and he was so filled with joy. This picture above shows Andressa (my interpeter), Claudio and his wife. The next evening he came over to me and put his arms around me and prayed for me. It was very touching as Andressa translated what he was praying for me. I was very humbled afterward as he told me that matter what country I was in ministering he would pray for me everyday.

Dave:
Another night an elderly lady (about 75 years old) came up to us in the prayer line. In the service that night we had asked God to show us His glory and we just waited in His presence for seveeral minutes. This lady came up and began sharing (in Portuguese) things that she had wrong with her. She shared with my interpreter, Andressa, for a long time and so I thought we were going to have to pray for a lot of different things. When Andressa turned to share what the lady had told her I was totally amazed. She had a terrible headache, back pain, along with a host of other things and God had healed her of every infirmity in her body during the time that we had asked Him to show us His glory. Now she just wanted me to pray for her that she would know Him better. God is Awesome!

These young ladies were Mikki's interpreters in Brazil. Luciana on the left was her interpreter in Vitoria and Heloisa on the right was her interpreter in Recife. We have enjoyed staying in contact with them through MSN Messenger.

While in Brazil we found that the miraculous became the norm each time we gathered together to pray and worship God, inviting Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit into our midst. We were able to be a part of and to see the things that have left us changed forever and increasingly hungry for an ever growing relationship with God through Christ.

Mikki:
On the last night in Vitoria we were ministering in the church of our interpreters. On this night there were two miracles in particular I would like to share with you. I only wish you could have personally witnessed
these miracles as they occured.

In the first instance, early in the evening of ministry time ,   our teams (consisting of an merican and their Brazilian interpreter) were called to the front so people could come forward for prayer if they desired it. Soon a beautiful teenager girl, about 17 yrs old, came forward and asked for prayer. I asked her what I could pray for her about and her smile started to crumble and her eyes started to tear, "Could you please pray for my legs?" As I looked down I noticed that her feet were pointing off toward the sides, like a ballet dancer would stand with her feet at a 180 degree stance. Apparently her hip sockets were genetically malformed, so her toes never pointed forward, but always off to each side. As she continued to talk and cry, she said that she wanted to be able to bow down when she prayed, and to dance before the Lord in worship.  Off to the side I saw a group of her teenage girlfriends watching their friend - wondering what would happen.  I told her, through my interpreter, to keep her eyes open-that sometimes this type of miracle happens very quickly and she wouldn't want to miss it!  As I picked up ankles, my thumbs on her inner ankle bone, I also noticed that one leg ws shorter than the other.  I prayed a very short, simple prayer.  God rotated her legs to their perfect and normal position right before our eyes!  Her eyes grew even wider and I could hear her friends starting to talk excitedly in Portuguese behind us.  When God had finished rotating her legs and healing her hip sockets I put her feet back on the floor and looked up at her. Smiling, I said "Stand up".  She stood, very carefully and looked down at her toes pointing forward, then looked at me totally amazed at what God had done for her.  I her to bend down, and cautiously she bent her legs and went down to a squatting position for the first time in her life, and then quickly stood up.  I told her "Now you can dance!" and her friends behind us erupted with excitement as she jumped straight up in the air and started to twirl around as she landed-laughing and crying at the same time. You could see the pain that she had lived with while having such a disability was now being washed away and a new life with new dreams and hopes was taking its place. There is nothing in this life to compare to such a moment, and being able to witness God's work is the most humbling and awe inspiring thing that can ever happen to any of us.

The second instance was in praying for a toddler, about 18 months old, that was carried up front by her mother.  The little girl was wearing braces on both legs, one leg was twisted to the side and was shorter than the other, she also had a fever.  My interpreter had stepped away froom me and was assisting another person on the prayer team at the moment, but, since it was obvious what the need was I began to pary for the little girl as I held her feet on the palms of  my hands.  In just a moment, her legs rotated and the shorter lef came out to the same length as the other.  Ther parents were speaking  Then, just as quickly, the baby's legs snapped back into their original position!  I was stunned, I'd never seen THAT happen before, so there was something I was missing...  I got another interpreter to come help me talk to the parents that were now also confused.  As Raphael talked to the mother, she turned her baby over onto her stomach across the mother's lap and turned down the waistband on the little girl's shorts to reveal a very large lump at the base of her spine.  The lump was dark brown in color with suture scars across it.  Apparently the little girl had  been born with the nerve endings outside of her body (spina bifida), and the doctor had somehow been able to cover them with skin, but, the lump had grown and as it grew it seemed to press against the toddler's spinal column causing her to lose feeling in her legs and feet and making her legs twist.  It seemed that somehow her muscles had also atrophied or maybe just not developed due to the problem since the doctors said she now had no feeling in her legs and she was completely unable to walk now.  I put my hands around the lump on her back and began to pray, all of us keeping our eyes open to see what God would do.  In just a moment the dark brown  lump started to reduce in size and fade in color.  The interpreter, parents, and everyone else standing around us began to get very excited  as what we were seeing!  Very soon the lump was only a slightly raised area that was now the color of pale gold.  As the baby lay across her mother's lap, we started to notice that she began tapping the toes frome each foot on the floor and she just looked around at everyone.  Fever gone, legs straight, lump almost completely gone by now.  Immediately  after this we were all called out to our bus to head back to our hotel.

In Revelations it says, "The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophesy."  A testimony prophesies what is possible again. It declares that another miracle is now available.  It illustrates to all who will listen the nature of God and His covenant with mankind.  All He looks for is someone who will add his or her faith to the testimony given.  Because He is no respecter or persons He will do for youwhat He did for another.  In the book of Hebrews it says, "He is the same yesterday, today and forever"....because He is the same today as yesterday, He si willing to do again what He did long ago...or what He did last week.

Healings, if you listen, are prophetic declarations.  Testimonies are prophetic decrees.
