Trujillo

When we arrived in Trujillo, we were met by a pastor of the city and the couple we were going to be staying with for the remainder of our time in Peru.

We immediately dropped our luggage off at the apartment we were going to be staying in with Einsten and Katie and went to a prayer meeting at the church of Pastor Juan Garcia. This is the church that I had spent the most time with last year. We talked about seeing the unseen and had a time of prayer and impartation and activation.

The next morning we were able to go out to the local flea market and get a few things that we needed . It was fun to be able to reconnect with Einsten. We stayed with he and his wife during our time in Trujillo.

We were invited to a luncheon sponsered by the wife of the president of a certain region of Peru. When we arrived for the luncheon she was not present but on her way to Lima to have some medical things done. We were able to call her on her cell phone and pray with her about her condition and we believe that God touched her and ministered to her situation.

That evening we went to the church of Pastor Juan Garcia and had a time of consecration and celebration. God touched many people's lives (especially the young people) as they surrendered more of their lives to Him.

Then we had the opportunity to have lunch with a couple pastors associated with the radio program we would be on a little later in the day. We all walked to this lunch time and took some pictures along the way.

After we had lunch together this pastor wanted to take us to show us some land that they had been believing God for. They are growing out of their present facility and needed some more space. So we went to see this land.

While we were praying for and claiming the building for God's kingdom, one of the owners of the building opened a door and greeted us. She invited this pastor in to look at the facility and it was just as he imagined. The pastor was very excited as prior to this the owners did not take his desire to purchase the facility as serious. It was a joy to be able to preach on the radio program and know that God was touching the lives of many people who called in with requests.

When we finished the radio program, we discovered that the woman and her brother (who owned the building this pastor wanted to purchase) were waiting for us downstairs and we had an opportunity to pray for them for healing and the blessing of God on their lives. What an awesome God we serve!

That evening we had the wonderful privilege of going back to the school that I ministed in last year. This is a church that is being birthed in a school where the director had a radical conversion to Christ several years ago. Many of the children and parents have been impacted by this director's conversion. Last year when I ministered in this school I was sick and yet God did many wonderful healings as we prayed for people. This year was even better.

The next day, as we were heading over to Hugo's house to have lunch with several pastors we stopped next door to bless a group of children that were being fed there. What a joy it was to see their smiling faces and to be able to encourage them. It reminded me of the heart that Jesus had for children as He instructed His disciples to not prevent the little children from coming to Him.

While we were there blessing the children, we noticed an older gentleman that asked us to pray for him and God healed both his body and his mind. He had been suffereing with some amnesia and other mental problems. God is good!

After this, we went next door and had lunch with several pastors and youth interns that were being trained for the ministry. It was a time of celebrating all the miracles and things that God had been doing. We found ourselves giving thanks to God and praising Him for all of His great blessings.

Mikki was invited to do a women's conference for a church in downtown Trujillo. During the same time I was asked to spend that time with a group of men from the church. It was a good time of building relationship with these pastors and their congregation.

Immediately after our time with the men and women we rushed to our last service with Pastor Juan Garcia. There we saw God do many miracles of healing.

Our last service in Peru was on the following Sunday morning. We ministred in the same church Mikki had done a women's conference in the afternoon before. They were very receptive to the message of healing and again God came in power and demonstrated the authority of His Kingdom.

It was amazing how many times God led us to call someone with a particular infirmity on a cell phone and release healing into their lives. God is so creative and not limited to our finite understanding. Praise God!

We were invited again to a lucheon by the lady we had prayed for over the phone earlier in the week. It was a wonderful time of prayer and ministry. We had the opportunity to pray for her and to minister to several of her lady friends that worked together to minister to the needs of the poor in the country.

During the time we were in Peru, we saw about 350 physical healings that took place immediately through prayer. It was so exciting to see how people's lives were impacted by God's goodness and grace. This is so fun you need to pray about coming with us next year.

In one of the meetings we experienced something that I have only dreamed about. We were praying for the sick through words of knowledge and then we had a corporate prayer for everyone that was sick in the congregation. After that we anointed and prayed for the pastor, his wife and their leadership for an impartation of the healing anointing. After we did that, I felt like we needed to activate them by having them pray for the sick. Well, at that point in the meeting everyone was healed and we could not find any more sick people. Praise God! So, I told them that they would have to go elsewhere to find some sick people to pray for. Many times in Scripture we can read where Jesus healed all the sick but this is the first time we have been there when He did it. Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today and forever.

This year the amazing taxi photo was taken by Einsten, below. He captured himself in the front seat and all of us that were sitting in the backseat. Good job Einsten. I would also like to thank Willy, above with Mikki, for taking an amazing number or pictures on this trip. He captured practically everything we did so we could share it with you. Thanks Willy. I would also like to thank Hugo for arranging all the meetings and having a team of people that we could minister and travel with. Thanks again Hugo. Thanks for your heart of compassion for your nation, Peru!
